HOW TO REPAIR A BURNT CAKE

January 19, 2017

Don’t you just hate it when you’ve put a lot of effort into making something from scratch and then it’s ruined in the final step?

Well don’t worry. Just because you left the cake in the oven too long/ turned it up too high/ have no idea what went wrong because you followed the recipe precisely and the cake still came out burnt, it doesn’t mean you have to throw it away.

Watch the above video for my top tip on repairing a burnt cake. Namely, arm yourself with some chocolate (dairy-free if you’re vegan or need to avoid lactose).

With a little help from a knife and a microwave (not together now!) you’ll be well on your way to serving up a delicious cake where no-one will be the wiser about your earlier faux pas.
