For me comfort food is one of the loveliest ways to perk up a grey day.
Or a day that’s supposed to be unlucky, like the 13th. (*Hastily checks diary*)
Eating gluten-free food poses another problem: premeditated comfort food. Or rather, planning ahead more than 5 seconds before wolfing down a really tasty treat.
So here are 3 of my favourites made during Great British Bake Off season where I made a gluten-free version of a task the contestants did each week. And I promise you that each one of them is DELISH! (Need proof? I’m always honest. Just see my Bakewell Tart video. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t end well.)
Jaffa cakes
That chocolate is just begging to licked off!
Sponge roulade
Even Paul Hollywood would be impressed with this sponge!
Chocolate bread
Trust me, this tastes AMAZING. My family ate the whole loaf in 2 hours.
Do let me know how you get on with these recipes. I’d love to hear your thoughts below!
