Wednesday’s episode on The Great British Bake Off didn’t disappoint – batter week was every bit as exciting as it promised.

It also gave me a really good excuse to try out some Yorkshire Puddings.

I must confess, it’s been about ten years since I attempted a Yorkshire and there’s a reason for it: they were nothing to write home about. In fact, they weren’t even a “they” because I tried to make one big one and it was rather stodgy to say the least, much like my waistline would have been had I eaten it all.

Fast-forward to 2016 and I’m very pleased to say things have changed. Whether it’s the recipe I used or that gluten-free flour has got better, the end result is absolutely delectable.

When you’ve seen the video it’ll only mean one thing: this Sunday you’ll be enjoying a roast with all the trimmings!
