Don’t you just hate it when you’ve put a lot of effort into making something from scratch and then it’s ruined in the final step?
Well don’t worry. Just because you left the cake in the oven too long/ turned it up too high/ have no idea what went wrong because you followed the recipe precisely and the cake still came out burnt, it doesn’t mean you have to throw it away.

With a little help from a knife and a microwave (not together now!) you’ll be well on your way to serving up a delicious cake where no-one will be the wiser about your earlier faux pas.
