I IS FOR INDESCRIBABLE CAKES

Indescribable, you say? How on earth is that possible when you’re writing a blog?!

Well, I could try and describe the cakes but it’s so much easier to let the visuals do the explaining.

The question is, are you and your tummy muscles ready for them?

Sure? Then click here to see what I’m talking about.

Yep, Cake Wrecks: a site dedicated to people who’ve received professional cakes that aren’t quite what a sane person would want.

Or, in the words of Cake Wrecks’ creator:

“A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate – you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it’s simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I’m not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.”

— Jen

A baby shower cake, for example. What could be wrong with that?

*Takes a big breath…*

Hmmm, how to phrase it……. Do you really want to see baby coming out in cake form?

It’s not the easiest site to navigate but it’s SO worth the extra effort. And if you want reassurance, click straight to this page to see what I mean. The crazy bride cake.

“The bride surveying her domain.”

I do realise I’m walking on thin ice. My all-time horror is the idea one of my cakes might appear on Cake Wrecks. But given how high the bar’s been set, I think I’m all right for now.
