1 great tip to make your wedding cake please all your guests

Whenever I go to a wedding, I'm always impressed by the huge efforts the happy couple have gone to. Whether they've spent hours baking miniature macarons and gift-wrapped them for every guest, or hand-painted a wooden pallet with everyone's names for the table plan, it's a delight to see.

So what can you do when it comes to your wedding cake?

For me, it's really obvious: cater for everyone's dietary requirements. See this cake below? Yep, the one that oozes decadence and frosting.

Vegan & gluten-free wedding cake

It's entirely gluten-free and the top two tiers are also vegan. Why? Because the bride wanted to make sure all her guests could eat it.

Not only that, but she wanted to reassure everyone which flavour was which, so she'd enlisted the help of someone to make a bespoke little board for the cake.

(N.B. If you're finding it hard to read the board, here's another pic to show exactly what was what.)

For those concerned about cross-contamination, the bottom cake (that was dairy-free but contained egg) was concealed beneath a hidden cake board so it didn't touch the other cakes. While I wouldn't recommend this for egg allergies, the vegan guests were satisfied for their requirements. And that's what really matters: making sure your guests are happy.
